5M51 (Carnforth-Hellifield and back) showing on RTT for both Tues and Wed. 5M50 (Carnforth-Hellifield-Blackburn-Preston-Carnforth) showing for Thurs. These are not Q paths - maybe something is stirring at 10A.

The down loop has been used on Tuesday and Saturday this week for the purpose of the locos to run around their support coaches. The engine and coach sit in the loop until the train arrives in the platform and they then swop over from diesel to steam . As per my video on the Dalesman forum of 48151 on Tuesday

Now what would be fun for test runs would be a camouflage livery. That would stir things up a bit.

Yes, it says so on the Rail Advent website. Don't know why some members are so sarcastic about that website.

Was I hallucinating or did a steam engine go travel along the high level line in Hazel Grove towards Chinley on Saturday 27th July?

Apologies I can't remember the time other than afternoon / evening.

If it was a steamer then she was going like the clappers and sounding in pretty good form.

That'll do nicely, explains the rapidity of the cylinder beats (small wheels).
