Bahamas with the interesting rear gunner that Vintage Trains chose for the Welsh Marches (shots near Blakedown, Llantilio Pertholey and Hereford)

'Bahamas' with Saturday's trip, featuring the Dorridge departure, Hagley, Worcester SH Departure, the climb of Llanvihangel Bank and Hope-under-Dinmore, in the first portion of this video.

Surely someone can pen a report with some times and speeds from the run? Bahamas and 10 on the Marches should have been seriously good; high 40s or even 50 over Llanvihangel and definitely 50+ over Stretton Bank.

Do you have confirmed times yet? I couldn't see them on RTT, though I realise that doesn't always mean they're not available...

Thank you. Hoping to catch it (on video rather than literally, unfortunately!) at Ilkeston.

52 over Llanvihangel. Unfortunately we were badly signal checked at Marshbrook, which stopped any fireworks on the climb to Church Stretton. Unbelievably, the Manchester service we followed (already 15 late at Hereford), was formed of a 2 car 150..

I'm in coach G on Saturday. Should be another good trip with 45596. Unless I'm very wrong, there will be 3 Jubilees at York on Saturday. 45596 from Dorridge, 45690 from Hellifield and 45699 in the NRM yard.

Thanks for that. The 2 Car 150 Manchester is all too common. Transport for Wales is setting new low standards of service. Way worse than Arriva.

Tickets arrived and now poised and ready for Saturday’s ‘White Rose’ to York aboard Coach A. Looking forward to the sprint to York. The forecast rain should make things a little more tolerable on the humidity front!

It was grim oop north today, hard driving rain for most of the day did not encourage a lot of chasing and it as to be said I got absolutely sodden as Bahamas was 26 late from her waterstop at Pontefract. Even so she ambled past here at Brotherton bridge, disappointing as time needed to be made up. The only reason I stayed on was this was a histric last chance to get this background, the first of the cooling towers is being demoslished tomorrow.

Another shot from Clay Mills but from the other side of the footbridge as 45596 Bahamas gets under way from its short stop in the loop. IMG_8109 - Copy - Copy.JPG
