LNER banana van - new use?

    I think that is normal for a Banana Van. Fruit Vans on the other hand usually have end and side vents. Here is our Banana Van at NVR for comparison:

    Hi Stu, thanks for that, yours is a BR van ie standard, not LNER hence my original question.

    I realised that, but the van in that photo has the same style 'corrugated' steel ends as our BR van, whereas the only LNER fruit/banana vans I can find seem to have wooden ends, although they do have that style of sliding door! Perhaps it was upgraded/repaired with more modern style ends - we'll probably never know without an ID...
