Hmn, I'm going to have to get my book out again, there are a few names to enter.

Anyway, where the hell have you hid it, no news on it's whereabouts (or it's condition). This could turn nasty.

We aignt got it , we thought you had it, :( Ok, seriously, The only WC working I can find on RTT Is one into Southall from Bristol Monday evening, But saying that, the Q pathes are not generally activated until the morning of the move Path canceled because of a fault with a steam loco, does not necessarily mean 35018 is the loco that has the fault, it could be any other loco at Southall, if say fore instance, Mayflower has developed a fault, it then makes sence to delay any move northwards, if 35018 might be called upon to fill that engines slot, or if the plan was to send both engines back up north together if Mayflower has done her tour of duty down South.

Maybe it liked revisiting Weymouth after all these years and asked to stay for the DCE season.

As far as Mayflower is concerned she is very busy down south over the next few weeks, so can’t see her heading north unless she has developed a fault.

Hidden?? No..?! Southall is too obvious... might hide it in Bristol for the Duchy’s, TBEL’s... or hide it on Norton’s triangle while servicing on the WSSE... or perhaps hiding it in the Steam Dreams program might be an option. The Merchant of Avon might also be a great place to hide it, but then the name might be a bit of a give away... such choice in the South! ;)

Perhaps it's been squirrelled away as an addition to the Strategic Reserve...

Surely you all have read the Rev Awdry stories. After Clan Line woke up the whole of Southall with its 76 mph whistling pass on Wednesday shortly before 9 pm, I expect BIL is now sulking until someone gives it a train to pull when it can prove that it can also run mile after mile at 70+ without a diesel in tow. ;)

Does Carnforth have any tours pencilled in for 35018 that can't be hauled by 46115, or 6201? if she does not need anything other than routine maintaince i'm sure that RTC and Steam dreams would love to be able to include 35018 in their pool of engines, if only to see more bums on seats and of course, a regular outing on the TBL would be a healthy increase on the bookings for rarity value, before she goers back up north for the winter CME trains.

It would be a bit difficult for 46115 to haul anything!

Could be but the first I’ve heard of it. 10A are never forthcoming on such things

Tell you what, get yon Clan Line up to Hellifield, we'll give Ron Smith a bit of raw meat for his breakfast and turn him loose up the Long Drag with 10/11 on the hook, Us Northerners graciously allowed you to have a go with BIL, seems only fair we get a crack at 35028

Yes it seems to be nearly 30 years since Clan Line went north. A route like the Hadrian --- Doncaster--Tyne Yard--Carlisle-- S and C would be a good one for both speed and hill climbing. That's the circuit the DBC men are doing with Tornado.
