And just out of interest, 35018 was faster through Ashford than 61306, it made road bridge to platform 4 seconds faster.

Appears not to have left Weymouth, anyone know what’s going on? According to traksy the stock is still in Jersey Sidings.

35018 late getting into Weymouth and problems shunting apparently.
1803 SWT service to Waterloo just left and our train waiting to move into the station.
    Expected departure time now 1820

    Just noticed this too.
From previous experience of travelling to Weymouth on Railtours quite a number of them were delayed by the late return of the stock from the sidings. The other services will get priority. Hopefully there are no other problems.

Edit: Just seen the update about the problems.

It won’t be 1820 as there’s an SWT service to London that’s due to leave at the exact same time... 1830 maybe?

Possibly also the need to take on water on arrival l/eng and a very short period of recovery time; 10ish late in from Yeovil.

One surprise when it left (eventually) the drain cocks weren't opened.

Was satisfyingly loud up Parkstone Bank, with little from the diesel other than idling, although I was near the top.
