There are all sorts of complications in the course of action postulated. 1.The freeholder (who is not the Plc) may not be willing to co-operate with such a course of action. 2.The Plc is the statutory operating company utilising a Light Railway Order but the Light Railway Act 1896 has been replaced and the new procedure is far more costly.

Time to gather breath about this unfortunate incident I think.

Perhaps I'm reading this wrong but it seems to be a 15 minute connection outward at Bishops Lydeard with a total journey time of 2 hours, OK its a slightly longer connection time going back but a reasonable connection time needs to be allowed.

They have put the columns together out of sync. The 10.05 ex MH gets to BL at 11.30, the next shuttle is 11.45 ex BL which arrives in Taunton at 12.05.

I think it depends on what device you are viewing on. The columns line up correctly on my iPad.

I would hope that we would see you on the shuttle.

Anyone can make a mistake in reading a timetable.

Ah, mine was a screenshot on an Android pad, landscape, last night.
Just had another look on the web page and it has been edited sometime in the last 24 hours, laid out much clearer now.

Being "forced" to remove shouldn't be the default. It would be good to see an ambition and plan to convert to retention tanks (sooner rather than later). Of course you then need a suitable discharge facility to empty and flush the tanks. Without overnight maintenance facilities like the big railway, this could become the biggest part of the problem.

Quite so. Yet another reason for avoiding on-board facilities but providing really adequate ones at stations.

Imagine if the GWR shuttle used the bay platform at Taunton.

    If only...!
All previous shuttles I've experienced in galas have to cross all of the lines to get into platform 2 (I am not sure of the platform number), with the same repeated in reverse to return to WSR metals.

Absolutely not. Merely some sympathy for those who have to carry out this particular task.

The NYMR have no choice in the retention tank matter, as most of their carriage fleet works to Whitby. The solution there seems to be to equip just one coach per train and lock all the others out of use, so it shouldn't be too onerous.
