Just noted on another forum that the Bury Metrolink tram line has bus replacements next weekend....Hence journeys to Bury on public transport may be more tricky!

40106 now withdrawn from the list, no class 40! :(
Also 56006 now out, but 56091 a good alternative.

No problem. Also posted is following info:

"....Bus route 471 runs Bolton Interchange - Bury Interchange - Heywood - Rochdale. About every 10 minutes during the day, half hourly in the evening until after 23:00, journey time Bolton to Bury about 30 minutes"....

and following timetable link: PDF for bus 471: https://assets.ctfassets.net/nv7y93idf4 ... es_471.pdf

    Will probably use that myself!!

Day two (Friday), put my hand down for a day rover, members still have to pay on gala events, just a concession makes it a bit sweeter! So shots today at the stations. Apologies for slow response - just home after a rather 'roundabout' return journey!
Would like to add my thanks to all at ELR for a wonderful gala; excellent lineup, great timetable allowing plenty of trips which was maintained throughout weekend, really friendly and enthusiastic folk and almost perfect weather! Suggest if you haven't experienced the railway you make your way to East Lancs; thoroughly recommend sitting on Platform 2 with a pint from Trackside bar watching the toing and froing as the trains work through the station; sublime!!
