    Interesting news of a replica Cedes-Stoll system trolleybus that is going to be launched at Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum at the end of June this year.....

    There is also an interesting article in the latest NTA Trolleybus Magazine about it as well.
    I knew one was being constructed, but hadn't realised that work was so far advanced

    I found this web page, which shows some photos of the original vehicle on trial in West Ham back in 1912.....

    Hopefully they will correct the typeface used on the Daimler trade-plate on the new version at some stage!
    Note that there are 5 pages of info linked from that page, including a description of the Stoll current collection system, plus about 45 seconds worth of cine film from 1912 as well.

    It's such a shame that we don't have any public service trolleybuses left in the UK - they're still fairly common on the continent, and a great form of city transport.
