The Amerton Railway Steam Gala on 29th& 30th June will have a “Staffordshire Engines” theme, resident Staffordshire built engines “Isabel” (Bagnall 1491/1897), “Diana” (Kerr Stuart 1158/1917) and “Lorna Doone” (Kerr Stuart 4250/1922) will be joined by visiting engines “Peter Pan” (Kerr Stuart 4256/1922) and “Rishra” (Baguley 2007/1921). Both “Peter Pan” and “Lorna Doone” will be in Devon County Council livery reflecting the period in which they both worked for the Council - with lineside access available interesting photographic opportunities are sure to abound! The usual intensive service of passenger and goods trains will be run, the 2018 Gala seeing some 80+ train movements over the two days. Further details will be published at www.amertonrailway.co.uk and on the Railway’s Facebook page.

A welcome change from 'big chuffers', great line up and all quite different in appearance.

Good photos of these interesting little locomotives and what was also noticeable that there was not one hi-vis jacket in sight. ;)
