Can anyone please assist me with the identity of the large GWR boiler that is currently outside the shed at Williton on a trolley? Is it for Raveningham Hall?

Thanks for that - my steam knowledge is nowhere near that of diesels!

Several 'punters' coming past Minehead booking office today were complimenting WSR on 'an amazing event - brilliant organisation, etc. '. No complaints in my hearing and two couples who wanted a steam train ride thoroughly understood and were happy to say they would come back tomorrow. Hoping the organisers get similar feedback from others, they deserve it.

Well what a great diesel gala, well done to everyone involved. Here's my video from the first three days.

    Sensibly sized locomotive.

  10. That's the BL-TN-BL traction sorted then. Was wondering what GWR were waiting for.

Must just say the 37 looked very impressive in that livery, I only ever saw them blue and 'weathered'. Well done for what looked like a great gala

9400 class is Red route availability. Same axle load class as Raveningham Hall...

Not sure if Paul's brain can compute that - tank engine = good, tender engine = bad... ;)

Thanks for this info. Sounds a bit excessive in view of their likely use at the time of design.

Exactly what it does mean to the non-gricer mind.

I’m confused. Who owes the WSR.

So why is there a fundraiser for new track when owner is buying locos that can’t run on the WSzr?

Pretty well all the posts from 19908 onwards illustrate why folk close to the action have trouble taking this thread seriously, regard it as at best a time waster and have in quite a few cases simply stopped visiting it.
Were your posts really worthwhile or do you have too much time on your hands?
