    Some interesting pictures as usual here Neil.

    In particular picture 21 of 92009, presumably taken during the bitter winter of '62/'63. It is undergoing some serious maintenance/repair out in the open. The smoke deflectors are not experimental as suggested but have the lower section removed for access to the valves that appear to have been removed. There is a pile of burning coals beside the cylinder presumably to thaw out frozen pistons and valves or to prevent them freezing. The loco is not in stream as the dome cover has been removed. Wasn't life fun in steam days!
