There's plenty of unfortunate (or at least unwary) people who have discovered the hard way that their house are built on a flood plain (presumably with planning permission).

Yet more on the Great Train Robbery page...
The sinister intrigue continues into why ROTHER VALLEY RAILWAY (RVR) officials and presumably their ‘secret connections’ think they are above the law yet again!!! Further research into the devastating destruction they have undertaken on their derelict track bed to the east of Moat Farm has revealed, we believe, that that they are in breach of conditional safe guards and agreements placed on them by Rother District Councils planning department. It is clear that they were required to plant over an acre of native trees BEFORE they started felling. This hasn’t happened. They have also failed to put up the correct number of Dormouse houses or bird boxes. The Council, enforcement officer, local woodland officer and Police Wildlife Officers have been informed as have RVR.
The TOTAL disregard for the delicate infrastructure of this valley is an utter disgrace on many levels!Planning should never have been granted in the first place. Robertsbridge & Salehurst and indeed the whole Rother Valley should all be extremely concerned! If RVR start like this by just ignoring all agreed legal safeguards and it is allowed to continue then the future looks bleak.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the continued support so so many of you are showing we can’t begin to tell you what it means!!!!
    Bring it on RVR!

True or false it remains that if you throw enough mud at a wall much sticks!!

Mind you, in view of how Mike Hart rebutted the previous accusations posted a couple of pages back, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is a load of codswallop. There are some objectors to the RVR who are making a perfectly valid point in a calm and consistent way (even if we may disagree with them) - i.e., "this is my land - I don't want to sell it and why should I be forced to?" , but on the other hand, some of the anti-RVR social media posts seem so full of vitriol that the poster appears to have a screw loose.

Sadly, objectors with a screw loose can run riot on social media, with a wide audience.

At Broadway, we had someone inform the planners that there are badger setts within half a mile (in the Cotswolds!) and that the platforms were 16 inches further apart than before! The planners were sensible about that sort of comment, fortunately. Broadway village, which had its detractors, is now grateful for the railway, which does indeed bring plenty of extra custom - by train. A taxi service from station to village now flourishes, and every day there are streams of people walking along station road to get to the village. We're all winners now.

Hoad is a relatively common surname in these parts. Hoads Korker sausages (based at Rolvenden) are famous in these parts.

I feel that the person posting these allegations could actually find them backfire on her, lets look at the facts, this land is already in RVR ownership, and planning permission has already been granted to re instate the railway on this section of land, so should have no bearing on any public enquiry over the actual planning for the remaining sections, and if based on known falsehoods, then I would assume the person posting them, could face legal action? once its shown to be an malicious attempt to effect the image and standing of the railway company.

Whether or not a railway is proposed, under construction or in operation has nothing to do with the issue of removal of habitat during the nesting season. One "side" says this has happened, the other that it has not. If it transpires that this has been the case then it is bad.

My enquiries show that it has not.

This means that the person creating the hysterical posts has put herself in a difficult position for the coming public enquiry.

Thanks Robin for you comments about what has really happened.
I am puzzelled why these comments have appeared on the facebook pages in the last day or so when the clearing of the trackbed took place some time ago. I find it very unlikely that the clearance was not noticed - there are enough people in that area who oppose the extension who must have seen what was going on when it happened.

Thank you, Robin, for the clarification. That has set a few minds at rest.
So presently, it is presumably a case of "Never interrupt your adversary whilst they are making a mistake". Just so long as this mud does not end up sticking at a local level.

I get the impression she is a relation to the owners of Moat farm, and an Eco warrior , but strangely she seems to have no problem with her Aunt and Mother selling another farm site for homes, yet seems to believe that nature should be left unchecked , so on one hand building 160 homes in Bexhill is ok, but re instating a disused railway line and green tourism that has the potential to take cars off the road isn't, And as Robin has pointed out, she is playing a very dangerous game as her actions could undermine her family's rightful right to appeal .

The RVR are advised by very competent lawyers with the right experience (not me). But that doesnt preclude those of us close to the position noting events and behaviours and suggesting lines of cross examination...
