Looks like a great one this year!

Replica Stephenson’s Rocket, 7029 Clun Castle, 4965 Rood Ashton Hall, 45596 Bahamas and GWR Pannier tank 7752 will all be in steam.

There will also be mainline shuttle trains running between Moor Street and Dorridge, stopping at Tyseley and Solihull along the way. They will be top and tailed by 4965 and 47773. Cost is £5 per leg.

It looks as though the mainline shuttles will now operate on Sunday only, as the relevant page has been updated and makes no mention of Saturday trains. If you click the "Book for Saturday" link at the bottom, you can now only buy event admission. The "Book for Sunday" link does still offer shuttle trips too. I assume anyone who's already bought Saturday shuttle tickets will be refunded.

I must confess I did wonder how they were going to fit around the considerably busier regular timetable on Saturday, and it now looks as though the answer is "they won't." I hope VT will make an official announcement about this via their social media, to keep disappointment to a minimum.

A few pictures from today below. On the whole it was an excellent day, but not without some minor niggles. The turntable was broken so was out of action (hence why Bahamas is facing the wrong way), and the popularity of riding Rocket along the running line caused the cavalcade to happen later than many people had anticipated.
