Mystery Location/Locos

    Mornin' all,

    I've come across this photo of 3 pacifics but am unsure as to the location (and for that matter the class). Does anyone have any info?

    The two chaps look like they are posing for the camera.

    Did the LNER use indicator discs?

    That looks like New Romney to me! The two chaps look superimposed on the original photo. Though the image appears to be reversed, as the RHDR locos have the door straps on the right.

    Don't know if it makes any difference to anyone identifying the location, but it looks like the image is reversed - the smokebox door hinges are on the wrong side in the image above.

    I thought the proportions looked wrong for standard gauge - and the designs looked a bit "Greenly", but I never thought to follow through on that idea!
