Looks like this is going ahead for Thursday. Timings are up for the light engine movement from Carnforth, and for the trip itself.

    Light engine: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U52153/2019/06/06/advanced
    Outward run: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U52152/2019/06/06/advanced
    Return run: http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U52155/2019/06/06/advanced

The chosen motive power remains anonymous, although I've heard it could either be 6201 'Princess Elizabeth' or 45690 'Leander'??

45690 Leander plus support coach surprises some early morning commuters as is runs through Hartford station at 07:31 this morning en route to Crewe.

Is that a milk float in the background? Nice period element, but for how much longer?

Not a milk float unfortunately, but an enterprising sandwich van.

Leander, in a hurry to get home, opens the Regulator wide and makes a dash for home from the signal at the North end of Lancaster Station.

there is a forum? for Steam Dreams Trains already, but so what!

Also, this should be in light engine moves etc and sorry for not taking me tripod, was in a meeting, and left early to see it.

Nice aesthetics when the driver cracked the reg open on the up fast starter signal at Lancaster station lovely staccato bark.:) just wondered why 45690 wasn't kept at Crewe heritage centre for the Scarborough flyer on 8.5.2019 servicing re coaling the tender perhaps?
