Effortless climb of Gomshall Bank this evening. Surprising but welcome sight to see the back of a Mk2 on the rear and not the 47, which could so easily have been left on given the shiny manouveres required in and out of Victoria. Well done West Coast...

Good to see. If I had known this would be diesel-free I would have booked.

Me too - my last memory of a Scotsman trip around the Surrey Hill was of the sound of Class 37 thrash from the rear. Fortunately I had consumed a few pints prior to the trip so was in a good mood :)

Anyone else struggling to find timings for these (plus the evening tour)? There's some outline timings on the site but only in one direction.

It’s a one way trip, so doubt Steam Dreams will publish the times for the return working. You’ll have to wait for RTT for those.
Detailed timings for the outward trips are shown under the ‘Timings’ tab on the website.

    Excellent videos!
The sun popped out just in time.

Nice to meet you Nick, and many thanks for the lift back to the station.
    Cheers!

A video and a few photos from me yesterday morning, firstly in the sun at Reigate and then at Merstham Tunnel.

Was it a trespass free day or were there still problems?

The evening run seen at Chertsey, Betchworth, and Redhill, all 3 with some great acceleration and Chertsey containing a (much improved) whistle!
