It could do with a clean, with all that brake dust up the end...

Oh, brake dust is it? I initially thought someone had been pulling it around a muddy field with a tractor - or is that the new shunting method... :Bag::)

It just shows how hard it is working.

    Leave the color alone!

  14. 7802 was the first Manor to grace WSR metals. Dinmore was expected to be first but the restoration at Tyseley overran.

Unusually for the time, Bradley faced Paddington. There were no turning facilities then (1995?).

We had a wonderful run with a Saturday evening QB that summer. I think it was the loco's first working to Minehead.

  15. The Infrastructure Engineering team's newsletter, normally an internal-only document, has been made available for general viewing. It is a good round-up of news in words and pictures about recent works.

    See www.wsr.org.uk/news for the link.

No it's on the Minehead diagram so it leaves Minehead at 14:30. Leaves BL at 16:20

A lot of work is being carried out and the reasons for it, good to hear.

Why has it taken till now to publicise this work?

  18. Enjoy the moment @Ploughman - and thanks for the positive comment - it may encourage further publications for the public to see ;)

Oh - and another very good reason is to encourage folks like me and you to lob a pound or two towards this work via

And very encouraging to see the hard work, fund raising and co-operation between groups, which, if one went by what one read on here, does not exist...

Don't go by some of the outpourings posted on here (much of which would be better aired elsewhere or not at all). Visit the railway and form a proper first hand view instead.
