The problem is that any ban won't affect just 60103, it would be a steam ban, and could see steam removed from the main line can you just ban one Engine, or do you do it on a line by line basis depending on the history of trespass, of course if people start having the book thrown at them by the courts, it might educate minds.

You do realise that NP is social media as well, although not very social at times!

The answer of course is to rename it "Papyrus". ;)

Another one on here who travelled on 4 days – days 4 to 7, and had a very enjoyable trip with good company in Coach G. There were plenty of familiar faces and well as a few new.

I travelled up the day before to Preston, and after checking in at the hotel, returned to the station to see the arrival of 6233 driven by Mick Kelly see below: -

I then went to looking for somewhere to eat, and after buying a pint , chosen what I wanted from the menu on the table, only to be told when I went to order “ How unlucky can a man be, we closed the kitchen at 7.30pm, because no one had ordered food for the last 6 hours! “.

Luckily for me things got better from there onwards (apart from the Premier in Ayr).

Taking water at Coleshill about 90 late. We are told that West Midlands Police are on duty unlike in the Derby, Burton and Tamworth area. So hopefully things will not get any worse.

Seen plenty of mainline tresspass in my time but I've never seen anyone refuse to quit when asked by the driver of a service train. It took a lot of shouting from the crew of Scotsman and threats of getting the police in for them to finally run away up the bank. Naming and shaming video to follow soon !

Along with every other steam loco. Serious polluters, far too slow thus awkward to find paths for, cause problems like this. The modern big railway is no place for old white men to relive their childhoods playing with their 12": foot toys.

    Said he, in slight jest.
