If I click on "watch on facebook", I get straight to the video in question, I am sure somebody or UP will send it to Youtube.

Interestingly the FB post is specifically for members of the UP Steam Program only, something I have subscribed to.

The nice part of the video is the head of the museum in Ponoma, being allowed the first go, followed by the Up steam program head Ed Dickens.

If the museum had not agreed to the UP request, 5 years ago, we would not be witnessing its re-birth.

Hats off to the team at Cheyenne. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think to see one of these magnificent beasties in action.

12.20 MT equates to what time in the UK?

It was really rather splendid, first time I've seen live US steam - mind you, will there be people bemoaning the presence of the diesel on US forums? ;)

I think a railway tour in the US is well worth it even without catching any of the mainline steam. Freight movements are astonishing eg the one passing behind 4014 and 844 at Laramie.

Ridden behind both 3985 and 844 on the Denver Post Cheyenne Railroad and Rodeo train, hope this devil ends up on that train either next year or shortly thereafter!
