If the Black Hat has confused a Merlin with a Lynx, he won't be passing his aircraft recognition test any time soon. :)

Hard to confuse a V-22 Osprey with anything else to be honest.

I rather enjoyed the Whifflet Loop to Sunnyside Jc bit!

Seriously, though, really enjoyed my two days from Edinburgh to Scarborough. Indeed, I enjoyed them so much that I decided yesterday to invest in tomorrow as I have strong feelings about doing Mexborough-Swinton by steam. That and Dronfield. And Gascoigne Wood-Hambleton Jcs. And Banbury-Oxford via Heyford. In fact, when was the last run between York and Paddington? Solid performances all round, so thanks go to WCRC, Kelly and the RTC stewards for overseeing everything.

Having a break today by doing a trip with another operator to Llandudno (felt the opportunity to ride behind examples of motive power representing each of the Big Four in three days flat was too tempting to pass up). Sunny, but really busy to the extent I've resorted to staying indoors. The transport festival will have to wait until next time.

The topntail climb from Dunragit to Glenwhilly was sight and sound to behold, 10 mins of visual and noise from Craigbirnoch.

Problems at Sheffield. I hope 60103 is passed for diversion if broken rail not fixed by then. I guess crews will know route OK.

To be diverted by via Barrow Hill, apparently. This could end up being very late.

    Yes, people in the way...

Trespassers seem to be the problem around Burton and to the south.

Massive trespass in Burton area plus inability of Police to manage the problem. NR in massive risk averse mode so given we are 90 min late the whole thing is out of control imo.

Thanks must go to the local media and the GBP for this mess plus of course our wonderful social media network.

I think the time has come to ban 60103 from the main line.
