Yes looks to be correct from the update here: https://www.svr.co.uk/MeetTheLoco.aspx?id=21

Would be great to see 7325 in traffic again in due course.

    Thank you both.

The GW(SVR)Association's web site states “A possible start [on overhaul of 7325] could be made during 2019/20.” In September 2018 the SVR commented it would take its place before 7819, after work on locomotives under overhaul had progressed. With the frames in works of 4930, 42968, 82045, Dunrobin and 2047 I think there is still the intention to clear things out before taking more in. I don't think many would disagree, but it does look like a start on 9303/7325 is getting closer

    Regards

    Patrick

Their aim must be to ensure a continuous flow of overhauled engines, if they wait till the current crop are all finished there will be a gap in the flow. I'd guess, therefore. that the next engine to go in will be when a couple of the current crop are finished.

As I understand it, the aim is to have two heavy and one light repair underway at any one time, which is manageable and allows work on the running fleet to take place at the same time. Both the Hall and 2968 are heavy repairs, although the latter is at the beginning of the end stage. The Standard 3 tank is the owner's responsibility and not an SVR one, except for contractual work on the boiler.

Can anyone indicate how long 4144 is likely to stop for? Having missed the spring gala I am hoping one or two of the visitors may stay until the open house weekend, which will be my next opportunity to visit.

The rumour is she'll be there all summer. 1450 off to Didcot for the same period so I can believe it.

I note that https://www.svr.co.uk/MeetTheLoco.aspx?id=20 has been updated ref 5619 & 4144 - 4144 was showing as "visiting for spring gala" until the other day, so presumably an extended stay is on the cards as rumoured.

And with the King with us at GWSR all summer presumably Didcot expecting Lady of Legend to be doing most of the work over the summer?

Was very pleasant to see it on the SVR the other week though, perfect place for it:

Hopefully look forward to seeing it on some GWR stock over the autumn gala then?

1450 has gone to Didcot for the summer - effectively a straight swap for 4144 which suits both parties.

I believe 6960 is on hire at the SVR until October, with 7802 returning around that period.

I caught both the 'guests' at the SVR this afternoon, 6960 at Oldbury Viaduct and 4144 at Eardington.
