Slipped on Hemmerdon, down to walking pace but sterling efforts from the crew got us over the top.

6ft 9in drivers make a difference but well done to the crew for keeping going. So a more standard time to Exeter then.

17.25 mins to Hemerdon on RTT. Clan slipped quite badly last year but didn't drop below 15 1/2. Got to Hemerdon in just under 13 mins. 69 mins to Exeter today; Clan Line 44 secs over 60 mins last year.

A bit of rain where I saw it a Teignmouth so I wouldn't be surprised if it was also wet further south.

That sounds like 'wet rail' conditions for this mornings run. I'm sure the crew are doing their best and making sure 6233 completes the task, just like yesterday!

It wasn't raining at the top of hemerdon, or certainly not for the 20 minutes I was stood there before she arrived. However it was a generally damp feeling morning. She slipped before she came into view of the bridge and then several more times on the way up. Really well done to the crew for keeping the train moving - just! Great effort!

RTT shows she will stop at Taunton for 30mins. Is this for water?

In any case there were a few hefty slips where momentum was lost. It was a crawl and a real struggle at the top (so much so that from the view point almost half way down the bank, I almost got back to the bridge to see it over the top!)

And unlike some on this thread, they're probably not interested in a competition with other locos over this stretch.

Duchess turns on the triangle then runs to BL. It will be any time after the tour has cleared the section at BL - no fixed times - 'as required'.

Queries for Monday's run - the timings for the Bishop Lydeards - Shrewsbury leg which were on RTT earlier in the week have now disappeared although the Shrewsbury-Preston ones are still on.The Duchess was deemed out of gauge through Frodsham a few years ago, presumably this is no longer the case ?

So that looked like a restart on the 1/42 ! Great effort from the driver. Should post that on the Duchess FB page and see how quick they delete it lol !
