Was anything said at the AGM about the PLC Chairmans appeal on Twitter for a replacement point at Blue Anchor?

Regarding parallels with the NYMR, what's notable to this outsider (hence, I stand to be corrected!) is the amount of CWR installed over the last few years.

More to come in the future as well.
But generally away from public areas where more traditional styles tend to be used.

Whilst I regret the demise of Jointed bullhead rail, I also recognize the significant savings in maintenance costs & longevity of CWR which in turn assists in securing the long term future of lines on which it is installed.

It is also worth pointing out that in the BR steam era flat bottomed jointed track was becoming increasingly common so laying CWR doesnt necessarily take away the period ambience

A revised version of my photo from yesterday, with evidence of modernity removed by the photoshop skills of Rob Strang.

    Onwards to the past!

Surely the remaining modern item is the clothing - no dont make them naked but what about proper bus driver/conductor uniforms?

Nice work but a bit of shading under the rear wheel would stop the bus appearing to levitate. Oh we are so picky aren't we

They could almost be Father and Son looking at that photo.

I look forward to seeing the photoshop results...

Our signalling Inspector (Jonathan’s father) might not agree...:)

You can also pick out the reflection of the car in the side panelling.

I could see there was something not quite right, but couldn't put my finger on it. I was also unsure if the boiler dome I rebuilt on the S&D loco was the right size and shape, but luckily the uniforms seem to have captured all the attention :D

Scaffolding on a four foot high structure is surely not period and those clouds look distinctly modern ……. ;)

The smashed up car on road to BL car park doesn’t give a good impression of the railway

After you've re-sized your QB photo, call the Police about the wrecked car & have them remove it. It has nothing to do with the WSR.

Is the road on Railway land? in which case, its not the Railways problem, if not, most likily Taunton Dene County council if its with in the car park as they own it, and have the power to remove abandoned cars, I would assume either the council or police are aware of this car.
I haven't been to BL in quite a few years, but my major concern then was the state of the carpark ,
more pot holes than tarmac, if I remember rightly
