Mine got used on The Talisman; an A4 and a Deltic - what's not to like? :)

I'm not doing any trips for the foreseeable future: I had a fill of them last year that included 60009 (including a brief chat with JC), 60103 and 60163 plus a red engine ;) Plus my finances won't permit so it's the occasional lineside for me from now on.

I hope thats the case but the Loco owners mentioned another test run and further information. Its such a shame that some of us feel a little more apprehensive and Ill informed when we look to continue supporting the Loco financially.

What can I say but confirmed timings now up at UKRailtours. About an hour later than the provisional timings on the outbound. Of course it's the hope that does you in but maybe this one is likely to happen.

I hope it does run, I hope everybody connected has a trouble free day, sadly I hadn't the confidence to book. I would have liked a table for 2 first class, but that is fully booked. Dining is not for us, Mrs V has the appetite of a small bird and a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner..........she couldn't cope with that.
There will be other tours later in the season..........we'll be there.

Surprised no one has mentioned that Tornado worked a West Coast Railways operated loaded test run to Carnforth today?

Well done to the crews and A1 team for the run to Edinburgh today. So good to see the loco generating income again!

Yes the White Rose from London up ECML via Harrogate and to York on 27 May. on the line out of Leeds to Harrogate somewhere between horn beam park and harrogate station on a bridge i think the A61 road goes over it (im not sure which bridge though) duchess of sutherland scraped it in 2010 on a railtour so i read up tonight studying why i don't think Tornado will clear because the trackbed was raised under it. A friend of mine who volunteers at KWVR from Knaresborough doubted Tornado going under that bridge. There hasn't been a tour to Harrogate for the last eight or more years due to the problematic bridge. I booked to go on this tour but UKRT have offered me a full refund or a trip behind 60009 from London to Carlisle on the same date, diesel southbound though so I think I'll have my money back.

On a lighter note with Tornado, here's a bit of fun with Photoshop or what do you do on a dull wet day. Yes I do know they wouldn't be able to fly over suburban Mortlake at 50 feet
