So is Repton on its way. There was a short clip of 926 mentioning Nene Valley posted yesterday.

662 confined to the yard at Wansford due to worn tyres. It'll be used on brake van shuttles, with cab rides available for a fiver.

Had a very nice afternoon at the railway today, will share some pictures later. I noticed all 3 engines are facing the same way, did anyone get a picture of them all together? Out of interest, does the NVR only have 6 serviceable mark 1's as the main set was 4 and then two on the shuttle to Yarwell? I imagine its plenty for normal running but maybe not ideal for an event like this where you are running two trains, certainly the particular local to Yarwell I rode on was pretty full!

Yes there are only 6 Mk1s currently and you’re right it’s not enough for this sort of event. The railway has continental stock but they are air braked and anyway not really suitable for a themed gala. There are two Mk1 coaches currently under overhaul but it’s a long and expensive job to complete.

I can't help but notice the dilapidated Mk. 1s in the tunnel; are they there for parts only? They look pretty far gone, but...

Video from the weekend of 926 'Repton' mainly (with two shots of the double header with 34081). Good event, with 662 being a nice extra feature at Wansford. Always interesting seeing yard activities! Thanks to the crew and staff!

The coaches in the tunnel are a bit of a mixed bag - they are not all owned by the NVR. What’s clear is that keeping them in the tunnel isn’t good for them. There is no plan to break them for spares. I think the longer term plan is to restore them to traffic but as always its a question of resources.
