    Spring Steam Gala 2019
Our Spring Steam Gala in 2019 will see the Severn Valley Railway head back in time to our branchline roots!
We plan to bring together four visiting engines, all former Great Western Railway locomotives, to star alongside our home-fleet from March 15th - 17th.
Our exciting plans include; two Autotrains, a short goods train and double-heading!
The first visiting engine confirmed to attend is Pannier Tank No. 6430. Based on the Llangollen Railway, No. 6430 will make the journey across the border to star in the event, operating Autotrains and lots more. Alongside No. 1450, the Pannier Tank allows us to operate two Autotrains during the event - a sight not to be missed. Throw into the mix No. 813, No. 1501 and No. 7714, and we have a tank engine fest!
    See you there...

Apparently still two more guests to be announced as well, definitely looking like a good one.

I noticed the website doesn't say if 75069 is running.

I know its not a GWR loco but I believe it was built at Swindon? Given it's just returned surely it will be out?

Perhaps the theme will be Swindon built - could include 46521

46521 would be entirely appropriate - this class and its BR equivalent 78xxx class worked a lot of WR lines, including the Cambrian and Mid Wales lines.

46521 spent its working life on the Cambrian and Mid Wales lines.

last discussion I had did not indicate a tender engine so ruling out 46521 (currently)

Just realised I am in Birmingham for work that weekend, but have Sunday off. Happy days! Always prefer little locos too. 5643 at the Autumn SVR gala in 2013 simmering by the signal box at Highley was one of the things that made me remember just how much I liked railways (having been a student for a few years and focused on other things) so another 56XX suits me perfectly.

1450 will miss the gala as on-going repairs are expected not to be completed in time.
In addition, 75069 has now been added to roster for the gala.

Does that mean only one Autotrain working?
