The re-surfacing looks ugly :( Wasn't that flower beds before?
Let's hope the new surface weathers in nicely.

At first I thought there were only three trains each way on red and blue - but then I twigged you may have to slide the timetable to the left to see the last trains of the day. Wonder if any less tekkie folk might be caught out ?

Might be worth a note to Sam White of the WSR Commercial Department who looks after the site.

I agree I was always told on computer projects to try make it usable for the lowest common denominator. This appears to have the opposite logic! Actually makes the Bluebell PLC website look user friendly

Regarding the timetable, I must ask: why does the most intensive yellow timetable (5 steam + 2 diesel departures each way) apply mostly during weekdays, while most summer weekends have the less intensive blue timetable (4 steam + 1 diesel departures)? Do more people travel on weekdays than weekends?

Interesting. No doubt Mr Whitehouse will be keen to find out how much 4160Ltd were paid for it.

I expect Mr Edge will as usual provide a more readable version on his excellent website.

  11. I'll try ;) The timetables as just published raise a number of queries and I'm awaiting clarification from the WSR before I can publish anything.

The Swanage Railway website where they have to deal with far more trains is the obvious model to follow

    No, Anthony, not yet.

I'm a little concerned that if you look at the timetables published on the official website
the 2019 Diesel Gala is shown as 'to be confirmed'.

Given the state of flux the WSR finds it self in at present, I guess that a diesel Gala is not a top of the list item. I also believe, but I have no 'inside' information, is that the cost effectiveness of Galas will be something that not only the WSR, but some other lines, will be considering particularly as operating costs continually increase.
