For the 1940's weekend the passenger train timetable is as the WSR Web-site shows, the Military Freight Train running is also now confirmed as per Steve Edges news report where he also confirms the Evening Minehead Dance Train times: http://www.wsr.org.uk/news.htm#1575

    OMG OMG OMG OMG

Take off from Exeter about 11:00 but firstly down to Lympstone to buzz a visiting dignitary there, so the flight virtually started with rolls and half Cubans! Then up to Norton Fitzwarren and along the WSR. Over the 11:15 waiting to leave Bishops Lydeard and to Stogumber with the 11:17 still in the platform there for a sharp turn around my house and then a Victory roll over the station. Up to Minehead and some passes past the seafront, along to Porlock and back to Exeter over Exmoor including a full loop and some wonderful flying along the top of a cloud layer.

And, what a shame, Exeter Tower weren’t ready for us, so an extra 5 mins of manoeuvres!

Boutlebee Academy M.D. Matt Jones was the pilot for an amazing hour in a stunning aircraft - PV202...

More photos and video to follow.

Love to see some shots from the ground if anyone was watching.

Interesting arrival of the S160 at lunchtime today - left half the train hanging off Minehead station whilst most of the passengers got off before eventually drawing up into the station. Was this another attack of the gremlins?

Steve Lewis’ excellent video of the ‘Minehead Display’ element of our flight today.

Fair comment but it is just not what I personally want to do. A really fast lap of Thruxton as a passenger in a Ferrari is more exciting for me. Each to their own.

    It died again!
Services ran late for the rest of the day by up to 1 hour. Probably a little more at some intermediate stops. I was firing on Dinmore out of BL in the afternoon and we did try to win back the odd minute here and there but to no avail I'm afraid close enough to 1 hour late arriving back at BL this evening. having been held at Williton for close to 30 mins on the 14.15 down and then held for a further 20+ minutes at Blue Anchor on the late departing 16.15 MD up as we waited to cross the down we should (could easily?) have crossed at Williton.
Not our finest hour as a railway today but everybody seemed to get where they should have been eventually.

The WSR 1940's Weekend is about to start, the S160 is due to pull the Military train which we loaded today. There is also plenty of other things to see with many of the 200 plus Participants many of who have arrived on site.

Well, with 200 odd participants on site I will feel quite at home. The Liberty Sisters however looked quite normal so I suspect that there must be many more 'normal' participants?
