    The Llangollen Railway holds it's Autumn Steam Gala from Friday 12th October to Sunday 14th October.

    It has been given the name 'Along Cambrian Lines 2', and will be a celebration of trains heading to the seaside during the 1950s and 60s.

    Our first guest engine, has been confirmed as Ivatt Class 2MT, No 46521 courtesy of the Great Central Railway. This will be the 2nd time this locomotive has visited our line, it's first visit was in 2014.

    We are delighted to confirm that Pannier Tank No. 7714 will be visiting for the Autumn Steam Gala.

    Built for the Great Western Railway, these Pannier Tanks were regularly used on local freight and passenger workings. No.7714 is an old friend in many ways, having been based at Birkenhead from 1937 until 1958, before moving briefly to Wrexham's Rhosddu shed prior to withdrawal.

    No. 7714 is visiting Llangollen from its usual home on the Severn Valley Railway and will be starring alongside another visiting 'local loco', Ivatt No. 46521.
