The 37 is stuck behind a stopper by the sea wall. For some reason NR didn't let the 37 past at Dawlish Warren.

Tender looked fairly empty at Par. Hasn't this happened with 46100 before on a Duchy?

Confirmed DL taking over at Plym with NO STEAM on front. No coal ordered for Par even though they knew there was a risk according to on train announcement.

How on earth can you fail to order coal for a steam railtour? Sorry but this is a thoroughly amateurish performance from someone. This kind of thing still happens far too often and the railtour industry is doing itself no favours at all. No, I'm not on the train so maybe I don't have the right to comment but if I were I would be absolutely livid. We can all accept things like locomotive failures but this is inexcusable.

Hmm - one of those whose responsibility is it? Loco Owner/TOC/Tour Operator??? Or did they all leave it to each other and make an assumption...

Couldn't make it up, could you? Insufficiently organised to ensure coal was available to fuel a steam locomotive, but sufficiently well organised to arrange a diesel replacement. Priorities wrong somewhere.

On the face of it, seems likely to be the TOCs responsibility ultimately to verify that coal / fuel will be appropriately availabe even if it does not actually arrange the purchase / delivery? The TOC must also need to know/arrange what loco move is needed to get to the loading point?

This appears to be an attempt at about 45lb a mile taking rough mileage from BL-Taunton-Par and return as 250 miles and coal capacity as 5 ton!

I deal with a good coal merchant whose base is near Newton Abbot. He could have supplied some coal. :D

Interesting observation, wonder what the root cause might be?

Seems like you have an axe to grind with LSL....bit of a kangaroo court, you've deemed them guilty before the evidence,
I've been on all the LSL run trips and this has never been a problem,
seems like the only problems are when WC run LSL locos.
I say seems cause both might be as guilty as one another or it might just be bad luck.
