I think you'll find that it's Douglas rather than Dolgoch visiting. Which along with the resident Q6/T2 is celebrating it's 100th birthday this year.

I know that a certain Indian Red item is in its 109th year.

Besides which the RAF emerged from the RFC and earlier the Balloon corps.
Which evolved from the greatest Corps originally.
    The Corps of Royal Engineers.

Can't see those sentences deterring any future offenders!

One charged £500 for the criminal damage which was estimated at £27,656, not forgetting £30.88 for the theft!!! Justice is served ????????

The Judge did give them a telling off though......

In suggest however that it is unlikely that they would be in a position to repay the money in the foreseeable future, and that landing them with an unpayable debt would not help them to keep out of trouble in the future.

Community service orders can also be made, there are also reparation orders – when you make up for the harm caused by your crime, like repairing any damage to the victim’s property.

They are of course different for those under 18, perhaps they'd help offenders realise how serious the damage and distress their actions have caused are to others.

If only there were somewhere in Pickering where they could have repaired damage or made some similar constructive coach restoration input.

    Water, duck's back...

Now, if it had been possible to forbid them from consuming alcohol until they were 21, that might have had an impact.

Anyone watching the Tour de Yorkshire this afternoon would have seen a great, if short in time, shot of locomotive 1264 at Pickering Station.

Did you spot "Jennifer" next to the level crossing in Bedale, on the Wensleydale Railway, being completely ignored by the TV coverage?

The Tour de Y certainly has benefited from some great weather. I noticed a lot of daffodils probably due to the cooler climate up there- they have more or less gone here in the SW, until next year. However the flowering trees certainly gave extra colour to the county. Based on the superb publicity, I reckon all the heritage lines in Yorkshire will benefit from the tv coverage. ;)
