It’s only really a problem if the voices in your head start disagreeing with each other...

Last I heard the Ex6 and 4160 Ltd were looking to sign a joint twinning agreement with Riobamba Station in Ecuador.

When asked if it was thought a re-gauged 4160 was capable of getting up the Devil's Nose a spokesman advised that the directors have had lots of previous experience in making similar ascents in the UK.

Reciprocal plans to construct a new Ecuadorian consulate in Llangollen have been abandoned as it was unlikely to have sufficient spare bedrooms.

Why would Ecuador want to build a consulate in Llangollen?

I think probably many of us were more aware of today being Easter Sunday than of it also being 1st April. But it wouldn't be a proper 1st April without some of us being April Fools, so there is no shame in being one of them.

Could you imagine...! When XH558 took off from Marshalls a few years back we heard it take off, and one of my regulars said something like 'what a sight that must be' my reply was 'oh amazing unless your name happens to be Juan!' At risk of a tad more thread drift why was there never a loco named 'Mosquito' ?

If we are doing requests, can I ask for a pterodactyl?

I have some ideas for other '40's' shots around the Railway but they do take a lot of team work to set up. Watch this space. I am especially grateful to Rob Strang who's photoshop skills made the 'Yarde Farm Bridge' shot possible.

Please note for your diaries that I am likely to be flying over the Railway on the morning of Thursday 13 September in a Spitfire operating from Exeter Landing Field, so there may be some genuine photographic opportunities that day, depending on the weather.

    Thank you.

I fear some folk may think we are not taking this thread (or life in general) too seriously...

    They would be right.
