    She does indeed...

However looking at RTT she seems not to have left Carnforth yet, although may have just missed her path with the late arrival of the train from Barra, at least with the plethora of pathing stops there is plenty of opportunity to make up time?

    Edit - Left Carnforth 25L

How on earth did you manage to lose 10 minutes between Barra and Grange?

I notice that whilst she made up 15 mins between Carnforth and Preston she still had the allocated time stationary at Preston, would they have been watering there - seems strange as I know 5043 for instance has done Crewe - Carnforth without needing water?

we were miffed at Piccadilly bridge as a pair of electrics{92s?} with containers stopped just cab passed signal post and driver got out, phoned, walked back down track and came back a while later, later turned out a schoolgirl from Ripley School had run away from school via tracks, police later said she had not been attempting suicide, 48151 type times and closure of Oubeck loop due to signal and points failure may have helped on time arrival at Preston.
anyway, leaky loco shoved up Ripley:-

OK, maybe only helping a touch or for heating, 47 gurgling well.

Don't know as I was not on board.
Arriving at Preston, water was taken, then despite being ready to go at due time got held for various service trains to pass. [IMG]

Lucky, if that's the right word, that the ongoing leak is on the fireman's side. Hard to see why any driver would (or should) want to take a loco out if visibility on his side was as poor as on the fireman's side even with all the technology and signalling aids available to him.

very unlikely they might have time to carry out adjustments etc, but if its not effecting the engines ability to cover its duty, its better to leave it till they are back at 10A

The leaks been there since for every run it's done, just less visible
A 10:05 departure from Scarborough should ensure the drivers side being on the side with the sun for the GB run :Cigar::Snaphappy::Wideyed:

Yes correct. BIL from York onwards. I've only seen the Scarborough dep and Edinburgh arr times for that leg. 10:05 off Scarbrough is going to put the BIL section between noonish and mid to late afternoon at a guess?
