Hadn't seen a thread for this (maybe everyone's gone to Buxton?), so here we go.

Cotehill foot crossing in between the snow showers...

No shortage of the white stuff today as LMS 5XP 4-6-0 No. 45699 'Galatea' works the 'Cathedrals Express' on the climb to Shap, Steve Chipperfield driving and
    Martin Soames on the shovel.

    Cathedrals 2b (2).jpg

    Going well

    Cathedrals 3b (2).jpg

Blizzard conditions at Kirkby Stephen as 'Galatea' heads the return leg of 'The Cathedrals Express' towards Ais Gill with Steve Chipperfield sporting a very natty
woolly hat driving and Bob Bullock on the shovel

A pleasant sun in the Ribble Valley. Huge respect to anyone on the top half of the S+C and Shap, wonderful images and videos.

Clearly a fair weather photographer then. And by the way, there was nothing wrong with the @Shep Woolley shots either, especially to capture the atmosphere of the day.

Surely that depends on which part of the "normality" spectrum you begin your evaluation !

Was anybody actually on the train? It appears to have struggled on Grayrigg and was looped again. Plus late start in the return

    45699 Wilpshire 17318(7#).jpg
Cannot speak for the rest of the route but Wilpshire got short shrift from loco and crew, with steam to spare it appeared. A splendid spectacle too for us freeloaders at the lineside.
