The BBLS stall will be at Quorn so take plenty of money. :)

The B12 arrived at the GCR on Friday and was on shed at Loughborough on Friday afternoon looking superb.

Witherslack Hall removed from the line up but "may also appear at the event subject to repair work being completed".

Very much looking forward to this event and will be visiting on both Saturday and Sunday.

Having had a look at the revised passenger timetables for both days there appears to be no passenger workings by 46521 - a shame as this is a fine loco.

Also the 1445 ex Loughborough worked by 48624 is shown as returning from Rothley Brook with the same loco. I was not aware that there was any run round facility there so is this an error ? All other services have a change of motive power for the return workings.

Finally, although not shown n the passenger timetable it appears the afternoon TPO may be in the hands of the Crab - this would be great, however it would be nice to see the B12 on the TPO set as well. If I am right with the Crab prediction it would have been nice for the Sunday to have featured the B12 on the TPO set and the Crab working the 16.05 ex Louhborough in its place.

Still very much looking forward to another visit and to what promises to be another great event on the line.

Understandable there may be the odd error if the timetable has been recast in a hurry. The afternoon DMU run both days appears to use a tardis to get from Rothley to Quorn on the return run.
Hope you enjoy your visit, I am giving it a miss this year as it is always heaving with people (will visit some of the more low key events later in the year) and neither visitor in their current livery excite me. Now if they were in BR Black (grabs coat and heads for the door).

It’s a great shame that despite being cleared to run at 35/40mph for the TPO 8572 won’t be running the TPO at all over the weekend, neither will the crab. The Saturday morning TPO is run by 92214 and the afternoon by 46521. Think the diagram is reversed for Sunday but won’t know until I see the WTT tomorrow morning

Hello, yes, I'm afraid this is the first one I've missed for a few years now and another for black locos! The Crab has a wonderful finish, however somehow black suits it better in my opinion and I have never been a fan of LNER green locos! Will join you in search for emergency exit!!

Wow! I'm a big fan of LNWR black but to suggest these 2 should be repainted?! Are you serious?! Just look at my photos of 8572 at the start of this thread, and you want to repaint that?! I never thought I'd say this but why?:)

The red loco and the apple green loco are the main reason I'm going!! Might not have bothered if they were in boring old black.

I'm really looking forward to the gala I'm filming all 3 days on the lineside. Especially the B12 and the Crab. These 2 locos are the ones that wanted to visit for a long time. And of course the B12 looks brilliant in LNER apple green. And the crab in LMS red. Bring it on !

Perhaps the respective owners don't want their engines run at those higher speeds?

Weather is set to be unseasonably warm at the weekend, possibly 12-14 degrees with showers Saturday afternoon. This is normally the coldest event of the year for me.
