Me too, different seat (and coach) for the Rambler and Shuttle. I guess it would have been a bit of a nightmare to organise if everyone on the Rambler kept the same seats for the Shuttle, so I can understand the necessity of it.

Incidentally, just had an email from VT saying that the weekend of 28/29 Oct will be when 7029 is back in action, so start clearing your diaries!

I would have thought that you would just allocate seats for those booked o both first, and then allocate those doing just one of the trips, but I guess it's not as simple as that.

Are there any good climbs on the trip to see both engines working hard?

Climb to Nuneaton up Arley is good, its a nice pull up from Nuneaton towards Hinckley and then I believe there's a good pull on the Corby section somewhere. It should be an interesting day :)

The climb away from Haringworth viaduct heading towards Oakham is a good one

The climb to Stockingford tunnel (Arley) in both directions is probably the most taxing at 1/125 & 1/126. Heading off Harringworth towards Corby is 1/200 and heading towards to Melton of Harringworth is majority 1/167 and then followed by the 1/142 out of Manton Tunnel towards Oakham.

Just a warning for linesiders, there is going to be huge crowds at Harringworth, due to local media coverage, so expect sales stands and hot dog stands and lots of drones ! I kid you not !
