    To fund my railway studies Phd I have set up a pixel advertising site for those with a railway interest, http://www.railwaypixels.co.uk (you may have heard of Alex Tew with the MilllionDollarHomepage). I hope, although I am not banking on it, that it will become a hub for the Global model railway and railway enthusiast community.

    On a personal note I think stupidity comes in many forms, I being the stupid one, however I might as well give it a go.

    Pass it on, and if you know any shops or manufactures who may be able to buy pixels, pass it to them too. Anything 'railway goes'.

    I will of course keep teh forum updated on my PhD.

    That bloke who did that got blackmailed by the Russian mafia that if he didn't give them £400,000, they would SPAM the site until it collapsed.

    I wish you all the best with your PhD, and with your website. I have to say though, there are going to be a lot of people blindly immitating Alex Tew. If you can think of something to differentiate your business from the masses, then it would be a good thing.

    I speak as a business-savey DPhil ;-)

    I figured that, but I looked at it this way, Alex didn't care what he got, however I am catering to a 'niche'. In theory that is the next step in this marketing trend. (Theory being the operative word). On the up-side at the point of writing after advertising for a whole day, I have 85 hits.

    Ok so you trumpped me. Either way National Preservation ROCKS and I hope my site helps it rock a bit more... and of course that it partially helps my site rock. Hey I should use this 'rock' thing for a name...oh pooh someones got it.
