Timings now in RTT for this which should be an excellent trip with NO diesel involvement;-)

Looking forward to sampling 76084 on the mainline

I hope the day goes well as I am also looking forward to meeting 76084. The timings also make for the trip to be just about manageable from the south - well thanks to overnight trains on the London Underground , that is!

I see that the first movement - NRM to Holgate - is on the way. Here's to a good trip for all concerned today; I look forward to seeing the reports and photos in due course.

Left York on time. 61264 plus 10 plus 76084 in that order.

Big ask of the Standard 4. 61264 didn't seem to be helping much.

Looks to me like 76084 was doing the lions share of the work, with little help from 61264 at that time...

Could well have been a cautious approach to the turnout for the loop.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the info. I am surprised that 61264 didn't start pushing earlier than she did. Credit to the superb condition of 76084 and the work of the footplate crew though as she kept going.

Beautiful crisp bark from the '4' - a worthy successor to Ian Riley's 'pocket rocket'. Superb :)

'The Whitby Flyer' on the 18th March 2017 hauled by LNER B1 No.61264 and BR 4MT No.76084. The pair are seen passing Shipton shortly after leaving York this morning.
