Ben gave a strong indication on the Summer at the Palace thread that it would be 5043 on the 28th.

Two photos of 4965 on Shakespeare duties today, probably for the last time this summer.

    Near Claverdon at lunchtime.

The Earl at Shrewley this afternoon, lots of two tone whistling from Hatton North Junction to Shrewley Cutting and lots of steam and smoke; a great sight to see!

Highlight of the final day and possibly the season, was the whistle exchanges with 46233 as we departed Tyseley on the last train.

Nice shots Dave. Often thought about trying the location of your last image. I believe there is a footbridge over the motorway as well but Im not sure if there's a shot off that though.

All my images from this years Shakeys including yesterday's can be found at http://rickeborall.zenfolio.com/p305926019
And a couple of the Duchess running LE to Tyseley at http://rickeborall.zenfolio.com/p167481854

    Hope you enjoy........Regards to all...........Rick

Thanks Rick. I'm going to have to go back there when the sun is out! There is a bridge over the M42, you could take a shot from there if you have a long enough zoom. The view is restricted slightly by lamp posts by the road though.
