I hope not. The last thing we want to see and not hear is a stealthy steam loco.

Caught the convoy at Northampton, 37516+46115 & 2 coaches, Facebook gen suggests the 37 will tow 45699 back home to Carnforth tomorrow for repairs leaving 46115 to do the work down here!

Giving this one a miss as it seemed to be unavailable for booking this morning. Must be full up. Didn't get a chance to ring up at lunchtime to find out about tickets. I will head out to see her on the return run though.

RTT shows it's losing time; 14 down at Syon Lane. Does anyone know why?

2V15 London Waterloo - London Waterloo is running late ahead of it. The Scot may make up a few minutes as that train is going round the Hounslow loop line. 46115 can now pick up the pace now there's nothing ahead of it.

46115 up Byfleet and NH about 14L. Standing start at the bottom of the bank, superb climb with no slip. Showered us with soot too... wonderful!

Passed through Farnborough slowly then opened up once through the station with the 33 on the back pushing hard, but no reflection on 46115.

A track circuit problem around Queenstown has caused delays of 15-25 minutes on most down trains on the SW main line. 46115 was held outside of Farnborough to allow a Poole train to cross from the fast to slow line platform. Farnborough Airshow all this week and two of the three direct Waterloo to Farnborough specials were cancelled completely. Just not a good day on the SW main line when it was especially busy too.

46115 has made up 33 minutes in just over 15 miles including taking the down fast at Eastleigh. Now only 5 late at Redbridge.

Through Pokesdown 2 down, sounding good and no pushing from the 33.

A short clip of 46115 heading past Totton, running about 5 late. Also including a shot of 45699 on Saturday.

Apparently 46115 is now working the train t/f to Southampton, then running round for the run to London. Something must be up with the 33!

Meant to add, the 33 seemed to be going ok on the climb out of Swanage. Certainly wasn't all steam.
