Well if something has gone astray its handy they have a diesel on the back :D Although already over 30 late isn't going to go down well with delay charges!

Edit - now 73 late at Hall Royd junction, so lost 40 minutes somewhere in the Copy Pit area. Is it an entirely private thing or are their paying punters on it, someone must have been filming/Photting at Copy to have an idea what happened?

At least doesn't seem to be losing any more time post Brighouse, so whatever the issue was may have been sorted?

Footage of 46100 being shoved up Copy pit . I believe it had a problem shortly after Burnley .

Would have been a little embarrassing, the Brexit express having to be rescued by a Spanish diesel!

46100 stopped at Copy Pit. Was still there when I left at 14-05.

That would make sense as she had slowed big time as she entered the tunnel so all was not well !

Wasn't it a DBC operation - if so then no there will be little debate.

Just been told it was due to very poor coal. The same coal that was used on the return leg of the Peak Forester which resulted in the same issues that 34052 suffered.

That was nearly a month back, if the coal was that poor that even a Bulleid wouldn't steam on it you would have thought they would have sourced new rather than risk this?

It wasn't the same batch, just very similar so I'm told. The delay was due to them needing time to clean out the fire.

In this film you can see the tender contents and around 50 secs in the fireman has the long iron out, presumably to try bring the fire round ?
