Rubbish, I demand total and 100% reliability at all times. Absolutely bullet proof, despite it being an 90 year old piece of moving metal at fluctuating temperatures.

Or I shall have a tantrum.

Not with 60103 it won't. Just in case you've missed the previous umpteen posts on the subject, 60103 has failed with injector problems and never came off shed so tour is now Class 47 hauled.

I don't need to as I've been around long enough to use RTT but someone who hasn't probably doesn't know your website either.

If so, this might help: http://www.stuartbrown.me.uk/cpg/index.php

I don't think I can be banned as it's not running with Scotsman. :)

I was just saying that RTT had only an ECS movement at York showing this morning and at some later point, whenever that was, the whole movement schedule was posted. So it seems that they are trying to avoid data going up other than when it absolutely has to.

Saw that post but it remains a fact that the timings for the steam leg went up over three hours before booked departure. Not exactly "after the train was underway." All irrelevant now of course.

I think timings appear when it's activated, they can leave activation quite late

Sad news that she has failed. :( I was just working out where to go and see her on Saturday after the "You ain't seen me right!" man gave me some hush hush info. :Muted:
Sorry, but I can't pass it on otherwise if I do some people in NRM Balaclavas will find me after dark and fix German smoke deflectors to the side of my head, rivet my mouth closed and tattoo 60103 across my forehead ;)

There are some very unhappy people commenting on twitter about SD's rather frustrating rebate system:
"Hi @Steam_dreams, not happy with £30 rebate against £500 cost of #FlyingScotsman being replaced with diesel loco. Neither are 100s of others"

    ".
@Steam_Dreams it's only a tiny proportion of the fare. Will contact you offline, along with many others. Another trip should be offered"

And one complete sad case found it highly amusing that 60103 failed.

If it is injector problems it should still be able to make Saturday's trip

rather late but from Tuesday afternoon just north of Tollerton Junction, taken from a very smelly field - it must have had some fragrant topping recently applied!

I hope she does make it but I just tried checking the SD website and it has been taken offline. That's never a good sign......:Nailbiting: The same thing happened with the Queens Birthday train scheduled for haulage by 45699.
The info that the NRM have put on Social Media says that they were still trying to work out what the problem was two hours ago.
Would they have any spares for just such a problem? If not I guess they have to strip the injector down to sort it out.

Edit: SD website now back up. Timings page still has 60103 rostered for Saturday. I would guess it's going to down to the wire if she makes it. Will they get a path at short notice tomorrow to bring her South?

Assuming the problem only manifested at working pressure, dont they have to drop the smokey bits and reduce pressure to atmosphere before they start working on it?

I'm betting Saturday is a no show.

The timings for Flying Scotsman might be kept secret, but you can still follow it on Railcams signalling diagrams, only a minimum donation of £10/year

Injectors are normally one of the few modular items on a steam loco but it depends on what the problem is. If it is something to do with the clack valve, then that probably has to be done out of steam, but may be it is just a problem that would have taken too long to fix in the time from discovering it, e.g. a control valve spindle sheared off.

SD are telling people on Twitter that plans are being formed to move her to London tomorrow. Don't know if she has been sorted out though.
