Not if they arrive via the GW and if you'd read the tour details on the RTC website, you'd have seen that is the route they are planned to be taking.

What time of day was that shot taken? I guess GBIX will come through mid-morning. Just wondering where the sun would be, if it's out?

It was taken about 1pm. In the morning the sun is shining on to the side of the viaduct in this picture. I totally forgot to go and take pics this morning - remembered the dog but not my phone!!!!!

There is a site called Suncalc which is very useful. Will give the position of the sun anytime, any day and anywhere.

Brave man Ray!, I have stopped providing informative posts on here as it has been confirmed that certain anti Riley / WCR posters on here are supported by the Mods ............their loss!

Mods hat off,... There's flack and there's unsubstantiated rubbish and axe grinding, the latter that drives away useful contributors.

Strange statement. I cannot recall reading a single "anti Riley " post on this forum...

Some of us value such information and I think you'll find the doom merchants have all now disappeared into the woodwork.
I would be nice if at least one came back and said sorry I was wrong.

    Very useful info, Thanks.

So presumably Carnforth to Peterborough is far enough for the Duchess as the original plan on the final day had a loco change en route and steam into KX.

I wouldn't worry Ian quite a few people having given up posting frequently because of the utter twaddle and circular handbags at dawn not in my back yard I know everything keyboard warrior posts that every thread seems to get hijacked with.

For people such as yourself and others who are in the know and work in the industry you should be given an 'announcements' thread which nobody can reply too.

That way you can provide the information, grab a cold one and watch the bickering sessions start on all the other threads...

In terms of gauging is there much difference between a black 5 and a Scot? Having never seen a Scot in the flesh I can't picture the size difference compared to a 5..

Just thinking if an A4 can make it down here to banjo country a Scot must fit!!
