And another one. Here’s my video, taken at Powderham on the outward run and at Ellerhayes on the return. Also included is a clip taken of Britannia light engine at Greenway Halt.

Yes, we have about 5 tripods, the best broke, I have been searching for a reasonably priced replacement for years. The one used has become loose over the years so the slightest movement causes the jerk. I know we need to sort out!! Shot with Children, yep my son took that, when I saw it I though that was nice! Brilliant atmosphere on Worle station. The people of W-S-M have really taken the Torbay to their hearts.

I travelled on this, my first and only Torbay Express of the year. A wonderful excursion, everything well managed by the train staff and the locomotive crews, and a locomotive performing as she should with plenty of high speed cruising and powerful climbing. It just shows what can be achieved without a diesel in sight. My thanks to all involved.

From a passenger's viewpoint, best series of clips of one train I've seen in a long time. I particularly liked the first clip in the pouring rain as that I really didn't expect to see. Thank you young man.

Photographers beware. A helicopter is due to film the Torbay Express on Sunday, 13th September (weather permitting). I would bet that the sea wall will be on their list of locations to film. <BJ>

''We are planning to film from Bristol Temple Meads through to Kingswear on the outward journey and then from Kingswear back to Taunton on the return''.

Sorry to say the obvious but the TorbayEx seems to consistently gives us sights and sounds that epitomise what I thought all steam charters were supposed to be about. Today seems to be no exception.
