According to Railway Magazine, Steam On The Underground will return in July 2015. There will be trains running between Chesham & Watford on the Metropolitan Line and Ealing Broadway & High Street Kensington on the District Line.

Met 1 and Sarah Siddons will feature on all trips. L150 will join them for the Metropolitan Line trips. The carriages will be the Chesham Set from the Bluebell Railway, the Jubilee Carriage and the Milk Van.

Update 4/6: The latest Heritage Railway magazine states the runs will not happen in July. The Metropolitan Line runs are hoped to run on 12 & 13 September. The District Line runs are likely to be postponed to 2016.

Due to LUL imposing a temporary ban on movement of heritage vehicles, after part of the Cravens unit subframe coming loose on its return from the E&OR

Due to an update on the ticketing system, you are unable to purchase tickets until the 15th July.

However a celebratory steam run would be a fine idea for when the connection from Croxley to Watford Junction is opened.

Are there any more-detailed timings for this weekend's trips available anywhere yet? All I can see on the LT site are the Harrow and Watford departure times. TIA

    It will, apparently!...........................

I'll be out for this tomorrow, but not until late afternoon - I have things to do before, and there's only two shots I want - never mind the traffic in that neck of the woods on a Saturday is a mare!

Not a problem. A pair of battery locos are also heading out as cover and I've not posted the times.

I have a weekend in the garden unfortunately, so if anything I'm going to try for Sunday. I'll post any pictures up here.

Anybody know if Met 1 has problems?................. as its got a terribly scorched smokebox!

Though it sounded fine enough starting out of Ruislip with ECS back to the depot.
