Yes, it's a nice shot. Location is Bridgnorth, and I don't think any Bulleid's found their way to the SVR in 1959, so let's agree it's 2015. https://picasaweb.google.com/116839141471298057728/46SKPAtSVR

With Clan Line bowing out soon this photo should cheer up the MN fans

A nice warning fire in the box ensured that the pressure in the boiler rose slowly. Once again the boiler has demonstrated how easily the pressure can be raised.

Good job. Hopefully the leak mentioned by the chap on the footplate at the gala has been sorted and the boiler successfully reaches 250lbs. Looks like its not too long to go once that hurdle has been jumped.

On one of her last runs before heading to Crewe for overhaul I captured 35028 racing through Worplesdon last night at the head of The Railway Children Pullman:

Turn up the sound and enjoy a Bulleid on top form.

Yea they hit a few small problems but nothing major. One of the Wadebridge team were saying they had similar issues with 07 which was caused by the all rubbish and gunk that's in the system which was created during the restoration. Shouldn't be to hard to fix/clean and the new gasket has arrived so can be fitted.

The 06 team are doing a great job and let's hope this final push will see the locomotive enter service..... Then I start can convincing the MHR that we need a group trip to the GWSR for "research purposes"

Just saying there's not many clues as to what the year is. And yes Bulleids weren't exactly common at Bridgnorth but they weren't uncommon racing through Kiddy.

35028's night time assault on Gomshall Bank! :)

If you want 4 minutes of Bulleid magic, I'd skip to 3:20.

Speaking of the mighty Clan Line... the UK Heritage Hub e-magazine are doing a project with the MNLPS entitled "Project 28" they have done a preview video which looks interesting.

Yep, we certainly are Simon - it's going to be a cracker... I hope!

I've been working on this film for the past few months. Loads of unseen footage from myself, along with, potentially, a couple of other contributors, a look behind the scenes at Stewarts Lane (when, in 2013, the MNLPS invited both the Youth Railway Enthusiast Association and myself), as well as footage from 28's last railtour.

More details in issue 56 of UK Heritage Hub...

Looking forward to it, I remember your shots at the MHR gala so it should be a great watch. I know there are quite a few of you on that UKHH team involved in 28 so was expecting something like this to come along one day.

But, like so many videos, spoilt by an utterly extraneous sound track. Whether it's a human being bashing a physical drum kit or, more likely nowadays, generated purely electronically, it's enough to stop me watching the trailer half way through.

Well, thanks for the feedback gents - while I accept the music isn't for everyone, continually cutting between audio tracks would sound a lot worse IMO. There are plenty of videos where the audio is of the locomotive and I felt it ok to include music for this one PREVIEW video.

I should point out that the main film will not have much, if any, music at all. In fact, the only sound that won't be an authentic sound will be my voice which will be timed to when you can't actually hear the locomotive. I might even upload a separate video without narration for those who don't want to hear my voice.

Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the main film.

Cheers again, and my apologies to the mods for taking this off topic.

Depending what they find when they dismantle everything, the hope is to be back at work towards the end of next year. The intention is to be nicely run-in by July 2017. However, it all depends...

I wonder if she can join Tornado by being done in 9 months? 35028 still looks in fine fettle and the group do a fantastic job!

What do you do when you can't fix your troublesome Bulleid Pacific? Call the AA :)
    call the AA.jpg

34007 had failed yesterday with injector problems and was unavailable for traffic today during the MHR War on the Line event. The AA man had come to fix a Land Rover which was in the Picnic area. Clearly his Sat Nav had sent him up the lane to the yard. In the picture he is turning round after realising he was in the wrong place!
