Good publicity is its own reward.

    It looks utterly stunning.

Did anyone else see the news on the P2 Project's news page this morning? They are turning out No. 2007 in BR Express Blue livery, this was decided after the blue primer was applied to the wheelsets. I am outraged! How dare they, streamlined P2s only lasted until 1938, etc...

I’m just waiting for the tug of war between a Blue P2 and whatever behemoth emerges from the Clan Project, based on the boiler they have just taken delivery of ...

If I was thinking of an April 1st livery for it, it would have 'REMAIN' on the loco and 'IN THE EU' on the tender..

    Is this less controversial?

Because directors nail their Brexit colours to the mast on Twitter, therby antagonising about half of their supporters instead of remaining neutral, I am moved to make a riposte in the form of an April 1st parody letter:

    1.April 2019
    Meine liebe Herren,

Our quote for your all-welded boiler in the sum of €1,000,000,00 (One Million Euros) expressly excludes any exchange rate disadvantage or import/export duty you may incur as a result of Brexit.

We assume you have already converted about £900,000,00 into Euros to avoid the first eventuality. To mitigate the second, you should place your order with us immediately so that delivery will be made on an order placed before Brexit.

If you do incur import/export duty, which could be a substantial amount, at least half of your supporters will remain unfazed as they will know that the monies will go straight into your NHS. (Wir rollen unser Augen lol)

    Mit freundlichen Grüssen

A very experienced European boiler manufacturer

I have to get this off my chest..

Sorry guys; there'll be no more...

For those of us who don't frequent Twitter, can you please quote what has been said and who said it.

Just before we go down that path, can we please be careful not to conflate the personal Tweets of an individual and the companies/organisations who they happen to be a part of.

It is VERY important to remember the two aren't correlated unless explicitly specified.

Fine if they make clear whether they are speaking/writing/tweeting as individuals or as directors. Not fine if it is unclear.

The P2 website seems to have been very quiet for a couple of months... Unusually, for the team building it. I guess there's plenty going on behind the scenes though, and the P2 Roadshows will be keeping the team busy.

    Richard.
