Nice, roll on next summer. It'd be nice if they could get a bit more time IN Scarborough, all the kids want to do is get down to the beach and play, this last summers timings didn't allow for much of that. OK for us enthusiasts, but it's a day out for the kids as well .
    Just my opinion.

Took a non railway enthusiast friend with me on the SSE and their verdict was the same, not enough time in Scarborough.

Leaving at 10.14 is too late from York, but 7am would be far too early. The problem seems to be pathing on the Scarborough line. 08.15 from York would mean the train could run in roughly the same path, but 2 hours earlier. and the first pick up would be around 9am at Normanton. It's a pity the loadings via Harrogate weren't very good, as the times and running were a lot better than the new route, but numbers have shown the new route brings in the passengers.

I see details of this years Scarborough Spa Express are now available on a West Coast's Website.

No change to the timings which is a little disappointing. We normally have a couple of trips on the Spa with the Kids but 3hrs in Scarborough is not enough !
