Following an ATC friend's comment last night about not expecting to be clearing a Great Western Loco from one of the runways at Heathrow last night...
Who was there doing a photoshoot then?

Bad form to reply to one's own posts, but further info...
It was doing a photoshoot with a Singapore Airlines B777-300LR, and left via Hatton Cross.

Still no ID on the loco though.

Well, I was only thinking in terms of something being close at hand............................................ and 5029 did look the mutts nuts when she came 'home'.......................... why go to the cost of lumping something from further away when somethings on your door step?..................................

    Nope!

But what I don't get is the need for a steam loco to advertise an airline.................................................... opposite ends of the spectrum surely?........................... or is that the point????

And why go to the cost of shipping something to the airport............... why not just film it where it is and CGI it and the aircraft together?............................

43021 is an FGW Power Car based at Laira called David Austin Cartoonist. So the plot thickens :)

Not the one I'm thinking of. Too big for most aircraft to carry.

Since everyone else is being bashful in coming forward, someone has to be first and it might as well be me! 76079 is the steam loco that went to Heathrow (for a BA promition I believe).
