I'm out photographing it this weekend, sea wall on the outward, probably Bishopsteignton on the return. Sadly I won't be able to see 5029 and 6024 at Bristol in the morning, but hopefully the sight of 6024 on 11 chocolate and cream coaches should make up for it. Forecast looks good too.

Is that a record since the end of steam? Can't be many times 3 steam locos have been on BK shed since the 60's
If they are stabled together a picture would be very desirable!

I can remember King Edward 1,Tangmere and Bittern all being on shed at Barton Hill 2/3 years ago.I think Bittern had a middle big end problem half way through a test run from London & 6024 was undergoing some maintainance.Tangmere was on the TBE in place of 6024.

I remember that too. Before the recent update on Multimap the Birds Eye View for Barton Hill had an A4 and Castle/King on too, now it captures the Southern's finest on shed!

6024 has just arrived in Kingswear about 25 minutes early after missing out on Newton Abbot stop and cutting short the set down at Paignton. She looked fantastic heading along the sea wall. Shame it was a bit hazy, especially from 500 feet above the sea! Still, the photos look pretty good.

News of 71000 Duke of Gloucester.

''The wheel-set has been machined and the loco needs weighing to re-distribute the axle weights. Unfortunately, the weighing
equipment is currently being re-calibrated, so there will be a week or so delay before weighing can commence.''

Was on the pier arounr 5:00, discretely trying to look over to the station without her noticing!!!
Just missed seeing the King, but heard her climbing away, sounded great.

After being 20 minutes down due to a failed signal just after Taunton we recovered to only about 5 down at Temple Meads. Then about 5 minutes later 5029 arrived; two GWR 4-6-0 under the roof of Temple Meads at the same time:

Not the best video as we didn't have tripod, but captures the moment...

Geoff Ewens' 100th footplate turn. "Geoff" was written down the side of the 1.
